Spotlight customer reviews: Customer Rating: Summary: Archaic Greek, no translations Comment: First published in 1931, this is an outstanding collection of very old Greek inscriptions. I'm a big fan of the subject and was excited to discover the book. Unfortunately, the book was written for a narrow academic readership -- there are NO ENGLISH TRANSLATIONS ! And although the non-standard regional alphabets have been transliterated into the "modern" ancient Greek lower case alphabet, the dialects are not the Greek you learned in school -- lots of Digammas, and such.
